Why Face Oil?
Face oils come with a myriad of benefits, but most importantly they replenish, comfort and soften skin that’s dry or depleted. Oils don’t technically hydrate, but instead fill in any skin barrier gaps, or create a seal that protects against water loss.
Depending on the specific oils used, they can also work to improve skin clarity, soothe irritation, soften the look of wrinkles or reduce the incidence of breakouts. And let’s not forget the dewy glow!
The Claire Hill Pro Glow Face Oil is a beautiful, lightweight formulation that floods the skin with essential nutrients, leaving it soft, strengthened and with increased moisture levels. Thin in texture and quickly absorbed, it can be used to lock in serums and moisturisers, mixed into foundation for added luminosity, or even as a pre-makeup primer.
While it’s been formulated with all skin types in mind, Claire Hill Pro Glow Face Oil is particularly beneficial for anyone looking to brighten, firm and soften.
Here are some of the key plant ingredients within the formula:
Kiwi Seed Oil
Kiwi seeds are actually quite high in Vitamin C, so are able to protect the skin against signs of environmental damage. Long term, this means decreased lines and wrinkles, as well as a smooth, even-toned complexion. Kiwi Seeds are also high in Omega 3 fatty acids that work to firm the skin whilst keeping it feeling soft and supple.
Australian Golden Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil has a similar structure to the natural lipids within our skin, so it’s both effective and easily absorbed. Rich in Vitamins A, E and D, plus Omega 6 and 9, it works to rebalance the skin (even if it’s prone to oil overproduction), calm redness and reduce signs of dryness. It’s also packed with ceramides for a healthy barrier.
Lapagyl, an oil-based extract from Lapacho Bark (also known as the tree of life) is an innovative ingredient that’s thought to slow skin ageing. It does this by preventing telomere shortening, a natural process that happens as we get older. In a nutshell, telomeres consist of repetitive nucleotide sequences at the end of chromosomes that protect our genetic data. As cells divide, they gradually shrink — a process that can lead to cellular degeneration. But Lapagyl has been shown to delay this, helping the skin to remain bouncy, bright and youthful for longer.
How to Use for Glowing Results
The best thing about face oils is how multi-purpose they are. Here’s a few ways to integrate Claire Hill Pro Glow Face Oil into your daily routine:
As a replenishing treatment
The best (and our favourite) way to use Claire Hill Pro Glow Face Oil is by pressing it into damp, just-moisturised skin. This will help your moisturiser absorb while the face oil seals and adds an extra layer of nourishment, preventing any water loss.
As a primer
If your foundation settles or simply looks dull during the cooler months, try pressing a few drops of oil in as a glow-boosting primer. It’s rich enough to create a smooth canvas, but light enough so as to not disturb your makeup.
Mixed into foundation
One of our final tips for instant luminosity, especially in winter? Add a small amount of Claire Hill Pro Glow Face Oil to your base product of choice. Not only will it sheer out the formula, but also impart a radiant finish.
To enhance your no-makeup makeup glow
Because of its glowy finish, our oil can also be applied on top of moisturiser, for a no-makeup makeup finish. Try pressing a small amount onto the cheekbones, cupid’s bow and bridge of the nose for a natural, luminous-looking highlight.
